Best Food in Cincinnati
Cincinnati is a surprisingly good city for foodies, both from the perspective of groceries and restaurants.
Groceries
- Jungle Jim's
- With both stores having more than 200,000 square feet of space, this giant grocery has almost everything. They have over 150,000 products, including live seafood and a wide range of international foods, and a busy schedule of cooking classes, wine tastings, and more. The Eastgate store is about 20 minutes from NKU's campus.
- Findlay Market
- A collection of a couple dozen indoor merchants selling meats, cheeses, fish, product, and baked goods. On Thursdays and weekends, Findlay is also the site of the largest farmer's market in the Cincinnati area.
- Cincinnati CAM Asia Supermarket
- If you need Asian foods and can't find them at Jungle Jim's, then CAM is the place to shop.
Restaurants
- Riverside Korean
- Great, authentic Korean cuisine.
- Sichuan Bistro
- Authentic Sichuan cuisine and my favorite Chinese restaurant in Cincinnati. Order off the Sichuan menu and avoid the English language general Chinese menu.
- Mai Thai
- Great Thai noodles, stir fries, and fried rice dishes. Surprisingly good sushi for a Thai restaurant, though I still don't know why sushi is so common at Thai restaurants in Cincinnati.
- Miyoshi
- Awesome sushi and a wide range of authentic Japanese food, including seasonal dishes that aren't on the menu but which your server will tell you about if you ask.
- La Mexicana
- Authentic taqueria, with great fish, goat, and al pastor tacos.
